First African American Head Coach at LSU. That would be amazing not saying he will go undefeated but i believe in Frank.

I think Baton Rouge would explode if LSU hired Frank, and not in a good way

Frank is the interim because he's not going to be offended if he doesn't get the head coaching job. He loves the school, but realizes head coaching isnt for him.

If Van Buran is the QB going forward it is very possible. Tough situation for everyone involved.

Do Frank want the HC job at LSU? It's very political, we saw William Tate leave because the governor wouldn't stay out of LSU business. The state is failing but he's worried about a school he didn't attend.

Then LSU’s record would be 9-3 and the new coach would still be hired the week after the Oklahoma game.

Would be great. Then we could end the season on a high note, and hire a new coach with good momentum behind the program.

Saw this from a mile away
quote:

a Shedeaur Sanders-esque narrative if he performs well as an interim and LSU doesn't fire their first black head coach

I can almost hear Ryan Clark from two months away bashing the school on tv

I hope he does win them all and if he wants to be HC let him have the reins and drive for a while and see what happens! It would help recruiting to give the man a chance!

LSU says thanks for your service, well done. Then they go about a real coaching search and hire someone else.

He's not getting a chance, nor should he. He's been a head coach and has sucked at both collegiate stops he's been the head coach at.

On top of that, you're not firing Kelly just to hire Frank Wilson.

Sound like when we hired Coach O and he later assembled the greatest team of all time and nobody would trade that even though it didn’t work out.

No way, that would be an emotional hire and those never work out.

Wasn't Brad Davis the one with that title?

If he wins out, hell yeah, but with a one year contract.

He would almost certainly get a courtesy interview, but I believe you are correct.

We didn’t fire Kelly to hire his RB coach. Now, if Alleva was still AD, all bets are off.
