My preferred scenario for the HC hire

Flirt with Lane enough to get his agent to turn his salary into something so astronomical that it cripples Ole Miss. He's a really good coach but if he stays at Ole Miss he'll be hamstrung. That's a win. On the other hand, him staying at Ole Miss keeps him away from Florida which is also a win. While he is my preferred candidate, I wouldn't want another contract situation that breaks the bank and that's what he would command. Give me Summerall. The guy is 24-3 in conference. He added a little extra hot sauce on the northwestern beat down because northwestern didn't allow them to wear all whites for the Katrina anniversary. I may change my mind tomorrow, but as of today I like that scenario

As good of a coach as he is, I just don't think going with someone like Sumrall when your program is in this position is the correct move
Maybe he shows up and becomes Saban, but I think he's way closer to Napier than a sure thing

Nah to this. Ole miss is a yearly opponent for us going forward, Florida will not be. Let Florida take him and cripple Ole Miss for a while.

I don't understand why I need to spell his name right for you to comprehend my point.

Agree, we lose Florida as a permanent opponent, why not have Kiffin go there and let Ole Miss, who stays on our schedule every year, have to rebuild and pick up the pieces after Kiffin leaves?

Are we sure Mark Stoops even survives this season? Their fan base has wanted him gone for years and he's having an even worse year this year. Gotta imagine Sumrall will be their top choice with him having played and coached there.
Not saying he would for sure choose Kentucky over us but just saying if we slow played him, he could end up going home.

Who said I didn’t understand your point? If I need to explain to you why you should spell people’s names correctly, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t make a difference.
Apparently TD is fond of ignoring facts and spelling people names incorrectly, then doubling down on their mistakes. It’s quite the display.

Because this place is full of english majors that read their thesaurus every morning and probably have multiple dictionaries on their coffee table.
