I have a feeling this coaching search will not be what we expect as far as the big name , proven head coaches. Times are different, NIL and Rev share plays a big part in attractiveness of a job and I’m not so certain this job is the most appealing in college football as it once was only a few years ago. I think these guys would be ones to watch from the coordinator ranks.

Joe Brady
Ben Arbuckle
Ben Johnson
Pete Golding
Tim Banks
Robert Saleh
Glenn Schumann

I’d interview Bobo as well. He’s seen Kirby’s Defense up close and they always move the ball.

Not doing well as an actual play caller

They are 73rd in total offense and LSU is 83rd.

Listing the literal Bears head coach in this list is why this board is the best

UGA would be happy with this. They aren't liking the regression of their defense this year.

Brian Hartline is an Ohio guy but otherwise would make sense

Bryant Haines is too soon with only his second year as DC in Indiana

Tony White at FSU is actually really close to ready for HC by his resume

Pete Kwiatkowski, Texas DC, solid

Mike Denbrock, ND OC. JD's Heisman OC at LSU

Bobo is worse than Sloan. Georgia fans are dealing with the equivalent of LSU’s Miles era right now. Tons of talent and an offense that is holding them back from winning championships consistently.

Take Brady and Saleh off the list.

Brady hates recruiting and Saleh has not done anything with colleges in 20 years

Joe Brady as HC and playcaller would be unstoppable. He would develop heisman qb’s and receivers regularly, set NCAA records on offense, and run the table often. Surround him with a great DC and recruiters and you’re winning chips the majority of seasons. Like the idea of seasons like 2019 where he orchestrated the RPO offense that nobody could stop. That was Joe Brady’s offense. He’s doing the same in the NFL with his QB on the Bills. It was all Joe Brady.

But “he don’t recruit” and “he won’t leave the NFL” and “he don’t have any experience being a HC” dominate people’s minds here.

Not for the LSU job, but Ryan Grubb is one to watch. Could put himself in the discussion for a top job with success at a smaller school.
