Firing Kelly now versus waiting a year...

Assuming he and his staff cost $20 million per year...will LSU lose $20 million next year in lost ticket sales, parking sales, merchandise sales, concession sales, donations, etc if he is kept around?
If BK is given another year, will a top notch OC and offensive staff want to come here knowing how hot BK's seat is?
I am assuming the people in charge have crunched the numbers...

There is more value to LSU in firing him than there is to be salvaged if they don’t

That has to be what it comes down to. There is a mathematical point where lost revenue will make it more worth it to just eat the buyout.

I agree. I think it's just a matter of two things:
1. Organizing the money
2. Hopefully we are already moving in silence and ideally have our coach lined up once we fire BK.

Exactly chicken he is a lame duck coach. No respectable coach will come be the oc under him. Also imagine how easy it is to recruit against LSU if Kelly comes back.

I think he could have survived 9-3 with a loss to bama. 7-5 no shot. Another drubbing in Tuscaloosa in 2 weeks won't help.

Biggest issue is going to be getting a competent play caller to come take over the offense knowing they’re coming to save Kelly’s job.

By God if we get in a bidding war with UF and FSU for Kiffin we are cooked. There are better ways to spend your money to fix your program. Let UF and OM compete over him and continue to be UF and OM

I agree but I think some people will say do we really want to be in a coaching search against : Florida, Penn State, Arkansas, maybe Auburn, maybe Texas.
