LSU must score first

and stay ahead to win this one.
"The Tigers are the worst team in the SEC in terms of first half scoring. They average 9.3 points per first half which is 110th of 136 in the FBS. If the Aggies get a couple of early stops and go up 10-0 or 14-0, it’s going to be a sad scene in that stadium. Texas A&M is 12th nationally in first half scoring."

What if Aggie scores first, LSU returns the ensuing KO for a TD, then scores again on a pick 6 the next possession?
Would that not be ok?

All we need to do is score more than them.

Maybe not go 3 and out

We have the athletes to make it happen. It's all about being consistent.

Were 120th in first half scoring
A&M is 12th
So yeah, probably not gonna happen

Someone should tell the offense this is the game plan.

Agree. But one thing I feel like, tiger stadium is an advantage is when we kick off and go on defense first. The stadium instantly comes alive, other team usually never gets past the 50 and punts. Then we get the ball back and we get the ball at beginning of second 1:2. I feel like miles years and Ed years we always kicked first. Stopping them and getting the ball second 1/2

common sense ... LSU has to win the TO battle , AND LSU has to score TD's in the red zone. A&M is ranked 9th in RZO - 27 attempts, 26 scores (17 TD / 9 FG's .963%) LSU is ranked 91st in RZO - 25 attempts, 20 scores (14 TD's / 6 FG's .800%)
LSU rushing offense makes me want to
ranked 116th at 112.9 ypg / A&M ranked 30th with 196.7 ypg

LSU scored first in both of its losses. They have scored first in every game except Clemson and Florida. Unfortunately, more FGs than TDs.

This is one of the worst offenses in all of CFB.

They must score and stay ahead to win? What a brilliant strategy. Someone forward this to football ops immediately.

I think we’re at the point where LSU just needs to score whenever and however it can.
Aggy is a very fundamentally good team with big guys in the trenches. They can control the line of scrimmage and they’ve a few good receivers who can stretch the field. They’re not flashy, but they’re very effective.
LSU simply cannot waste red zone opportunities.

We better get it on the half yard line.

All LSU has to do is score more than them by the end of the game. This isn’t the team to place specific limitations on.

Yeah that would be ok. You should bet on it to happen.
