Yeah, I wouldn't want LSU in there anyway.

Aggies and Bama are locks to beat LSU. They are flatout better teams.

Then lies the WKU game. I think BK might be fired before this game as a soft landing for the team and interim HC.

This will in addition give LSU credit for another loss to Oklahoma to save face "since they are team with no HC".

BK has to go at this point. What's the difference between paying him to lose or just buying out his contract and possibly hiring a good coach?

Truly revolutionary thinking here.

The difference is having to pony up a possibly large sum of money to buy out the contract of whoever it is you want to hire. Unless that person is an assistant or coordinator or a head coach at a lower level - then that sum would be mitigated. Also - presumably another large sum of money to buy a roster to replace the players that would be hitting the portal - some of that will happen anyway. Then the additional buyout money to move on from the staff. I have no idea if all of that is doable.

While I totally agree BK has run his course at LSU, it is delusional thinking to think he will be fired.

Its not happening. I don't understand where some of y'all get these ideas. He is not being fired this season. Get over it. Stop having these expectations you will only get more irritated and frustrated when that doesn't happen.

Was the season over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

If he loses the next two games, A&M and bama, he gone. At that point the next three games are toss ups. Arkansas can score a ton of points, W Kentucky is a decent club, Oklahoma could be a fifth loss.

I think 8-4 or better, he survives. He shouldn’t survive 4 losses but would.

I just don’t see how he survives 7-5. That’s missing the CFP by three games. Too wide of a gap when ~$20 million was sunk into the “all in, keeping receipts” roster. If the next three losses are Aggy, Alabama and Oklahoma that will crush any program morale especially with Oklahoma. You would be ending the season with a loss.

Let me just state that this is only my OPINION before the “Kelly is not getting fired this year!” cult pounces.

I don’t see LSU beating Oklahoma and Arkansas is no guaranteed win, so I think LSU will lose at least 3 games before the end of the season.

Y'all remember that mcneese state opener a few years ago that started but got cancelled due to weather, IIRC?

I remember them saying something like "this is the first time a LSU game has been cancelled since WWII."

At Bama
At Oklahoma
Probably vs A&M
Finish 8-4 or 7-5
Vegas had lsu at 8.5 wins before the season and everyone thought that was easy money including myself. Glad I didn’t bet it.
