When you think about it, who do you go after?

Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, Kalen DeBoer, Dan Lanning are all the top names in coaching right now and would not leave their programs. Dabo was at the top with Kirby, but has lost his way and is now tanking that program. Kurt Cignetti is a rising star, but I don't think he will leave as he has it made there. After that, who would be next choices? It's really hard to find. If you go to the smaller schools, you take a big risk (see Napier).

LSU had the best offenses with coach O and with BK, what do you think they are missing? Those 2 QBs

A lot of the up and coming coaches are currently coaching their alma mater. Clark Lea at Vandy, Brent Key at GT, Kenny Dillingham at Arizona State, etc.

Would be very hard to steal one of these coaches away from the team they love.

One man. Target URBAN MEYER. Make him the highest paid coach at $14 M per year. $1 M more per year than Kirby Smart. He's a sleazeball but wins NC's.

In FL he recruited against FSU and Miami. He would kill it in Louisiana.

And the small time programs are paying more than ever. Indiana is now paying Cignetti more money per year than we pay Kelly. Vandy will soon pay Clark Lea just as much. We would have to offer something ridiculous to steal him and LSU is not in position to do that right now.

Can’t believe so many people that actually think BK is getting fired. Prepare yourself for disappointment

They also have no chance of winning a title at those schools, another thing that will lead those younger guys to leave in time

You ask saban bc its saban, you ask lane cause he would be filthy with our athletes, and would retain baker and we have $ to backfill for next top DC guy when they leave. Then its Clark lea, Dan lanning. Worst case you get Kelvin shepherd, hes going to retain guys like Kyle Williams, etc, and surround program with lsu players and create a culture guys wanna play for. If thats the fallback option, I'm all in. Just someone needs to find 30mm and get Kelly to agree to settle and walk away

Kirby and Day the only ones who have won a natty on that list. Dabo has won 2 and Clemson wants him gone too.

DeBoer everyone thought he wouldnt finish the season after losing to florida state in week 1

Lanning cant win a big game and what has he done with the most money in college football backing him?

Its all a luck of the draw and the SEC schedule is only going to get tougher next year. Plus Kelly not going anywhere.

It's a new era in the NIL/12 team playoff world.

We have no idea who can win a title anymore.

The HC at Mizzou would be an interesting hire

He's a proven SEC coach

Lane

the Oregon coach would be amazing hire but that seems unlikely

we don't have an opening

but if Kelly drops to A$M and Alabama and OU

that's 7-5

in year 4

I'd say it's very likely a move is made

LSU will probably find a way to beat A$M

but finish 8-4- win a lame bowl and finish 9-4

which is just enough to give Kelly another year

Another good one at his alma mater: Brent Key at GaTech. I'd still go after him.
