People are paying through the nose with their own health insurance thanks to the democrats and Obama, now they are being asked to pay for illegals which will raise their cost again.

The fact that this is going on at the same time that everyone in America (who pays for insurance) is going through open enrollment at their jobs can't be a coincidence. It seems calculated that the talking point by the administration was the cost of healthcare for illegals at exactly that time. Major miscalculation by the left.

The blame factor is not affected but Trump's popularity does have his ME success baked in. I hope that holds.

Could be a timing thing, but I think it would hold regardless.
There were two main issues that turned people against the Democrats in 2024:
Immigration
Trans nonsense
Health insurance for illegals resonates. You could be right...it might resonate even more when it's top of mind, but I think it resonates regardless.
The other factor is that I think that people have seen how absolutely soulless and dishonest the Democrats are. Nothing about them is genuine. Everything is calculated. Everything is a prop, everything is an act.
Say what you want about Trump, but he might be the least affected POTUS in my lifetime. They all put on a face sometimes and so does he now and then. But comparatively what you see with Trump is what you get. The vast majority of the time, that's truly who he is.
And I think a lot of people realized that contrast after Biden's propping up and Kamala and Tim's awful hamfisted attempt at connecting with people (specifically white men).
That comes in really handy in times like this when both sides are blaming the other for something.

I feel like Harry Enten's super animated personality should get on my nerves, but it just works. I love hearing from that guy. The only bright spot in CNN. It probably helps that he seems to be just a straight shooter who tells it like it is, no matter what either side thinks about it.
