1. You have secured the money and support from boosters
2. You have either A-Saban or B-Kiffin locked up.

Funny thing is the only man who has a chance convince Nick to return to BR is the AD.

That being said, I believe BK will still be our coach next year, and I think it will be his last.

Guarantee you they do not have a plan to replace Kelly, because they haven’t been able to think past the buyout money.

Saban turns 74 at the end of this month. He ain’t coming back to coach at LSU.

Kiffin gives away games he has a lead in every season. Last season to LSU, this season to Georgia. LSU fans would be calling for his head within 2 seasons.

I agree, my point is there are only a few names that would pull the funds to buyout Kelly. Otherwise it’s gonna be another year.

Are we sure he wasn’t on Epstein island?

No matter how you get out of this contract you need two things. Vaseline and bottle of diddy oil bc we are getting screwed.

Buyouts are paid out over multiple years. You do not have to come up with all of the money at the time of termination.

Right, but it still requires commitments and cash flow. These things don’t happen without support.

Yall can quit dreaming about Saban. He seems like he’s enjoying Gameday and doesn’t have to put in 80 hours a week and can have time to enjoy retirement while still being involved in football on TV a couple hours a week. He didn’t want to stay at Bama in this NIL and unlimited transfer portal era, so what makes you think he’d come out of retirement to deal with the same stuff at LSU

Kiffin has never won anything of significance

In both cases he was coaching the FAR less talented team. To have a lead in those games is more impressive than literally anything BK has done in his entire tenure at LSU other than beating Bama once.

I'll never understand the fascination this board has with this guy. It's as if Tennessee and USC never happened.

Saban has a field named after him and a statue at Alabama. He’s not going to ever coach again and give up that prestige. He’s not going to coach at 74 years old. He retired because of NIL. Quit being delusional. CASE CLOSED!

I've been a tiger fan since 1964 when I went to my first LSU Tulane game at the age of and I'm telling you for many years I always thought we have to get the big name. We have to get the big name and of course I was a freshman when Bo Ryan was killed in the plane crash on a recruiting trip and I've always wondered to this date what would have happened because he was definitely and up-and-coming coach and had really brought North Carolina State University into the forefront and I do believe Paul diesel had made a great hire but be that as it may if you are going to have to spend so much money, a buyout or they're not enough coaches that you can get for a lot less money who are young. They may not have the big name but have been program builders. Look at John someral at Tulane. Before that he was under Lane kiffin at Ole Miss as linebackers coach then code defensive coordinator at Kentucky. 2 years at Troy as a head coach. They went 23 and 4. I know that is a Sunbelt conference School, but you have to give him a little credit what he's done at Tulane. What about Jeff Brown up in Louisville? I know he played for Louisville but again you might be able to lure him here with the expectations of being in the SEC. You have the quarterback you have. Sorry not quarterback you have the coach down at South Florida who has done a great job again. I'm talking about coaches that you can bring in and you don't have to promise a 10-year contract and $10 million to a year. What about the coach at Georgia tech? Someone made a list and there are a lot of good names. They don't have to be a big name that Mike could come in here and infuse him enthusiasm and get this program turned around. And mind you I was a Brian Kelly supporter till this past Saturday. After what I saw Saturday, I'm done with him whether he's here this year, next year or however I will support the Tigers. I have no support for him

Kiffin IS a better offensive coach than CBK but since O, Burrow and Co. went 15-0 these same people fans forums will come after anybody & anyone’s head. It’s the LSU way.

It ain't easy to win at Ole Missed. Even with no title what he's done there is damned impressive. I'd still prefer someone else, though. At the moment that's a generic someone else.
