Are you all using as a stand alone feed or in conjunction with planted food or corn.

I’m curious as well.

I stopped using it a while ago because I felt like it molded. But maybe other people have better luck

I’ve been just pouring on the ground near a feeder and the deer have been destroying it. Get pics every day

I have dumped it on the ground in the past, sometimes near a corn feeder, sometimes not. I’ve never had problems with mold, but I’ve never dumped out a whole bag either.

Lately I’ve been using the treeline hanging feeder from TSC. It works good to keep it dry and keeps the hogs from messing with it too much. I pull the feed gate out to keep it from getting stuck. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/treeline-hanging-deer-feeder-2032215?crmid=1315477789&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=tsc0_tsc_tsc_prm_search_sch_us_cvr&utm_content=sku_na&adtype=pla&campaignid=20387647901&device=m&product_channel=online&product_id=2032215&store_code=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20382437754&gbraid=0AAAAADnTm23KUf67I0koUKoBVkjuFJ5RF&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlZjkzOGykAMVIiFECB0qxzQWEAQYBSABEgLMlfD_BwE

I mix it up with my corn. Dusting. Usually when I find a new spot to put a camera.

5-10 lbs of rice brand with 50lbs of corn.

Any moisture spoils the ricebran I have found, but it still pulls them in fast. You should see what you have in the area in a day or two.

When I was in a lease I had good luck with the Peanut Butter flavored rice bran. But like others said, if it gets rained on and molds the deer definitely don't like it as much.

I have only used Rice Bran or a peanut mix of it in a certain way...it is not really something I put out often. I use it sparingly.

But say, if I am hunting tomorrow morning and I know there is no rain in the forecast, I would go in the afternoon today and put some out in a line with the hopes of a deer starting on one end and working its way to the other. That line will be in a fashion that gives me a good shot. I try to keep that type of "deer snack" new to the deer. I know they like it, but during the rut it is usually good at making a doe stop and snack, which usually gives time for the buck chasing to ease out at a slower pace, if that makes sense.

In short, basically I know the deer like it and the scent of it will catch their attention...I try not to put so much of it out regularly because I do not want them to get used to it which in turn really catches their attention when I want it to.

Works really well when its hot outside.

After it gets cold they hit the corn more.

Theres alot bran, molasses, and corn mix's out there that people swear buy. But i usually dump a sack infront the camera to get pics early season.

I use the persimmon flavored rice bran and the deer lick it down to the dirt. I pour several small piles so that it doesn't last more than a couple days. If it sits too long or gets wet, it will mold and the deer won't touch it after that. I also try to put the piles in different places so that residual mold doesn't affect the new pile, etc. I try to get smaller bags if I can, and just dump it in my shooting lane on the way to my stand on Saturday morning, and it'll last all weekend usually.

They eat it too fast at my place. If I put a bag out, it's gone in a day, two at most.

We can’t use rice bran due to CWD zone, but that stuff is amazing. Pour it out and quickly get on stand.

Try to get ahold of some wild game treat. It’s a flavored mix and is very aromatic, I can smell it from 50-75yds away. I typically dump rice bran in a pile in cover but in view from a stand I’m gonna hunt. I have seen deer feed on a bran pile in cover that would not come out to a corn feeder on a foodplot .

I used Rice Bran for 2 years and would have 15-20 deer a hunt come in and eat corn and wouldn't even sniff the rice bran. The only animal I had on camera eating it was a coyote.

a pile of rice bran with a single sized pack of kool aid mix sprinkled on top (apple if you can find it, but also cherry)... deer love it.
