You can't duct tape everything on airplanes.

Imagine a golf ball size meteorite making through the atmosphere only to hit a plane.

Relax. That’s just a flesh wound.

We hear about all these things now because of social media. I wonder how many scary incidents happened back in the 70’s and 80’s.

My oldest hasn't flown since he was 1 (so no memory of flight) and we're trying to keep him from seeing this shite. My wife has access to the company jet (not trying to flex baws) and we're taking it to Baltimore next weekend. My youngest (LD) loves flying but also loves jabbing his brother. Oldest asked for a picture of the jet the other day and LD sent him a picture of the jet that crashed in PA and then a picture of the hole.

With the ground incidents involving the major carriers lately I'm more than happy to be flying 40,000+ feet up above their crap.

Boeing probably punching the sky in frustration

I know this is likely something caused by a bird strike and nothing Boeing related. Still doesn't help them in the public eye.

Oooooof saw that it was at 36,000 feet...but they are thinking it was some form of debris. My mistake for jumping to a bird strike.

Early 90s there was a pilot sucked halfway out of the cockpit window.

Yep. This is so true. I witnessed tons of security issues and mechanical issues that never made the news.
