Anyone attending this weekend? I might head downtown just to enjoy the hustle and bustle.

The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is preparing for a significant security operation this weekend, activating over 400 officers and deploying extensive resources for the highly anticipated NBA YoungBoy concerts on Sunday and Monday at the Smoothie King Center.

NOPD officials confirmed the decision to deploy a "more robust package" of security than usual was prompted by intelligence gathered after the rapper's recent performances were canceled in other cities, including Atlanta and Chicago.

How does an event like this continue to get insurance?

The crowd in Nashville flipped a switch last night. Was pretty insane.

Could any LEO's or local government officials please speak up.
I'm no expert but a large scale security operation like this must be extremely expensive.
Who pays for this?
Certainly not anyone attending this EBT Gala event.

Even JP Morrell was pretty vocal questioning whether the NVA Youngboy concert should happen.

I feel bad for anyone who is downtown tonight. I know there’s a comedy show at the joy and Peter frampton at the saenger.

Assuming both will have plenty security.

Are they opening for the Pelicans home opener? How is YoungBoy associated with the NBA?

Just looked him up. Youngbaw should be in jail and has at least 10 kids. What a trashy individual.

I think that’s the piece frustrating a lot of people in the city. It’s one thing to have this kind of law enforcement for Taylor Swift, Mardi Gras, the Super Bowl, etc. Those events generate 100s of millions in revenue. NBA Youngboy is bringing nothing but risk.

Yeah, I saw that. Great representation of Baton Rouge. He could probably run for mayor and win.
