Have you or your family embraced AI?

Snagged Sora tonight, OpenAI’s new video model. Not sure if it’s because I have ChatGPT Plus or why, but it gave me 6 invites to send out for free access to Sora2 (latest and greatest).
No one from my big family text wanted an invite. I sent a GPT capture out to my immediate family earlier today, explaining the whole “6-7” thing, and my youngest like freaked out that I sent an AI link. My wife refuses to touch it.
I mess around with multiple models and work on the stuff. It’s nothing to be fearful of (at this point) but people act like you’re asking them to open the literal Pandora’s Box…like their entire life will change for the worse as they interact with the AI devil or some shite. My golf buddies are the same way.
I’ve seen some of yall here share AI responses, which is one of the things it’s for! Do you sense real fear of even touching it or do you get that sense in your family?

For general questions and advice, I can see how it would be productive. It can summarize a process or idea in a cliffnotes version.
Regarding ethics and morality, and entanglements with the before, I can also see why it isn't peddled with.

I've been in IT since college. About 30 years. And some of this is has me wanting to put my head in the sand.
You won't be able to believe what you see anymore, at least on recording. The best stuff is so close now.
Not being able to believe what you see--or distinguish from real or fake--is a terrifying prospect.
Take a look at all the comments sections. Half the population struggles to realize hilariously bad AI. Imagine when you really can't tell the difference.

Writing clear and concise responses with proper grammar and punctuation is becoming a rare art form. Im hesitant to use AI but I've been using it at work more frequently.

And yet, for now, you can spot the AI generated news articles easily. They are so sterile, so inhuman.

It's not surprising that your social circle is a bunch of retards

I use it for as many things as I possibly can.
I'm a software developer and it has made me extremely productive. In this arena, you can use it to build things fast, fix bugs and ensure your code is top notch and has a lot less bugs going forward.

Until it takes your job, friend of mine was an app developer for years. Lost his job a few months ago due to AI.

Yes. We no longer interact in person as we prefer our own individualized AI notions of a perfect family

People who use AI also use match light charcoal

Not if the prompt you give it is specific enough

I pay for expert grok and it has replaced at least 2 assoicate level employees I would normally need.
It's also 1000 times faster than your average 22 year old.
Skip college kids. Learn to weld.

Grok can tell you if a video/picture is real.

Not really, it’s kind of neat but I feel sorry for those that feel they have to embrace it
