On the road, versus a good ranked opponent that isn't a traditional power. Their fans and the team will be hyped up. They are good at a lot of stuff but not spectacular at anything. Tough, running QB. The only common opponent, Vandy beat USCe by a good bit more.

Underdog Vegas wise.

If this team is going to step up and make a run, now is the time when it begins.

Agree.
I think LSU wins this one IF they play a relatively clean game.
But this one will be close. Vandy firmly believes they can win.
Hope our kids are focused and have resolve.

Offense has to have a heartbeat. Defense will hold their own but the offense has to score at least 28-31, I’m not sure if that’s possible

It feels like a loss. I’m not saying that to be a downer or complainer- I’ve just seen these two teams play football. Saturday morning though, I’ll be sitting on the couch living and dying on every play and cheering on my Tigers.

SC was the make or break game coming off the Ole Miss loss and bye week. It was the "get right" game. What could have been an "A" performance turned into a C+ due to turnovers.

This game does give a glimpse into how far this team can go. Do we have a "road warrior" mentality or crumble away from home? I'm optimistic, but I always am until proven otherwise.

If LSU loses this one then its a 4-5 loss season, which would be a total disaster.

It's the SEC. You have about half a dozen barometer games, not like the weak arse Big 10.

Fans think every game is a "barometer " game. And in some ways that is true given how few games there are in a college football season.

If anything, the interest in this game is to see if the adjustments on offense were real and (potentially) long lasting...of just a minor blip following a bye week, only to return to the ineffective status quo? LSU DID change up their approach to the run game a bit last week. Not surprisingly, they also had their best rushing game of the season.

The La Tech game gave me plenty of indication as to where the offense is. Just wondering how far the defense and punter can take us.

Vandy played Bama tough to the end. A cheap TD by Bama very late made the score appear worse, but it was a one-score game with 4 minutes left. And it was at Bryant Denny.

This isn't your typical Vandy. Will be a tough game for us.

Until we can play consistently on offense and develop a sustainable identity, every game is a barometer game.

I expect LSU to win, but I wouldn’t be surprised at a loss.

IMO Season would be over at that point, but at least we can still spoil it for A&M and others

Y'all have been saying this since the Clemson game and the post keep moving.

We know what this team is at this point, for the most part. The only question mark really is if Nuss will continue to improve as his health gets better (if it is getting better).

Not a BK supporter but encouraged by the "look" of the offense with 420 total yards as opposed to 280ish. Have to eliminate the RZ misatakes to win.

I thought before the Ole Miss game, that if we could get to 27-30 points then we win that game, which proved to be true.

For Vandy, the LSU defense will give up 17-25 points, so the offense needs to get into the upper 20s and beyond to win. I feel better about this after the SC game than before the Ole Miss game.

Nuss IS going to throw for 1-2 interceptions as is his pace. I just hope they are not in the RZ or worse.

I want more of Kyle Parker and less of Hilton, more of TreyDez outside, more sticky tape on Jennings's gloves.

This feels like another mid tier SEC team we should kick this shite out of but it will be entirely too close.
