Chaos in the 4th inning.

Freddie Freeman HR in 6th

Blake Snell pitched 8 complete innings. 0 Runs 1 hit.

One of the craziest double plays I've ever seen.

Walk
Single
Single
1 out bases loaded

Muncy hammers a ball to dead center. CF almost robs it. Drops it then throws the runner out at home.

Umps call it a double play. It’s a force as the ball touched the wall so runners have to advance.

That was an absolute gem of a play and officiating.

Can blame Te"Oscar for that but ultimately the 3rd base coach needs to be dipped in sh!t and fed to the flies.

So with chaos on the bases as the CF caught it off the wall, we end up with a runner on 2nd and two runners on 1sr not knowing if they need to advance or if the batter is out.

All Dodgers should have just ran.

Was the fly ball ruled a no catch?

I missed that part.

You mean the bases loaded, one out, ball off of center field fence (technically) that scores zero runs and results in a double play? Yeah, that was bananas.

You had a runner on 2nd and 3rd not knowing if the ball was caught or not and not wanting to be the 3rd out

Brutal spot for Teoscar and Edman to be in

But if Teoscar would have just tagged and gone home, he would have been safe. He started home and then stopped and went back.

Umpire down the left field line immediately called it a non catch. Third base coach and players should have been watching for the call but weren’t.

Teoscar should have been tagging up the whole way. If it's caught or not he walks home safely if he stays on the base until the ball hits the glove.

How is it a non catch? The ball never touched the ground. The center fielder caught the ball for out 2.

the third out was the force play at home

I have no idea why the catcher throwing to third had anything to do with anything

Two things -

1. Once the ball hit the wall, it can't be a catch.

2. If it was a catch, there wouldn't be a force out at home. It would have to be a tag play.

They got the runner at home on the force out and then apparently also got the runner out at 3rd on the force out.
