Guess we’ll see.

I have ordered the Louisiana State Police to work with LSU PD, BRPD, and EBRSO to come up with an enhanced security plan for the upcoming LSU/Texas A&M game. We will continue assessing the security to ensure all future games are safe.
The level of violence and disruption will not be tolerated.

Guess we’ll see.

Landry is a clown. But this is the kind of thing at which me might be effective. He doesn't really worry about the "optics" of increased security and if the perpetually aggrieved will complain.

If Landry wants to win over LSU fans after the Tiger debacle this is where to do it.

I agree but appreciate his response. There's been a shooting or reports of shots fired nearly every home game this year.
After they're done with security, can we get LSP to help with traffic

Good. Drop the hammer.

Its a huge economic driver of the state, you only get 7 of them a year, and people are going to stop coming if they're subjected to that.

they'll just climb it

I guess he does have someone read his email. This situation has to be addressed immediately. The crowd control at the past few games has been non-existant.

LSU admin is already helping push this with how terrible Gameday atmosphere has become. They’ve priced out a lot of people.

It is coming from the block parties that are happening due to the smoke shops over by Chimes. These smoke shops have DJs come out, playing ghetto bird music and now all the yutes are coming to that area who would otherwise never be there. They need to slam those shops for something. Hell fricken noise ordinance violations so they stop doing that.
The smoke shops don’t help but they’re not exclusively what caused two shootings. They’re just an easy spot to hang out. To blame them as the sole reason this happened is asinine.

I did not blame them for the shootings, did I? Learn to read. It is bringing people to that area who otherwise would not be there. Is that a complicated concept?

Agreed - I believe the LSP will bring in a good presence appreciated by LSU fans and visiting teams. This trend is happening across the country and delivering really good results.

I have visited a lot of SEC venues, and I can’t think of one that has that kind of ghettofied area right off their campus. Most of them are surrounded by nice restaurants, bars, and a safe entertainment district. BR really needs to clean that whole area up and get those smoke shops out of there, or the people with money to spend are gonna start gathering somewhere else.

He didn't force the COVID vax on my teenagers. I can forgive the Tiger incident.

It’s a good start.

Inside source from the Governor's mansion indicates the preliminary plan is to bring Omar the tiger back in from Florida and have Coach O ride him around campus starting at 10AM

My son just graduated from LSU and we are thrilled about it and love LSU, but due to the changing atmosphere and culture shift at LSU.The apartment he lived in two years ago right by Walkons had 2 shootings in it.
If i had to do it again, id pay for him to go to a different SEC school
