I’m disappointed how underutilized Shaheed, Cooks, and Vele are

That’s what I would focus on offensively. Also get more production from taysom on things he does well but I understand we are working him back into system and from injury.

Why would we not focus on Olave and Kamara?

Cooks 1 catch on 1 target.
why did they sign the guy if he's not going to be more involved?
Shaheed seemed a better fit for Kubiak's offense last year before he got hurt.
I hated on Carr a lot, but Carr's deep ball was good.
not saying he won't thrive with Kellen Moore, but he certainly got off to a better start last year.

They get all the focus. Olave doesn’t seem to be worth market value at all

Cook was widely panned as a terrible FA pickup by the league and had 25 catches for 250 yards last year. Yet, you think he should be our featured guy and “don’t get” why he’s not.

And they gave him 8 mil dollars guaranteed. Imo that was all moore wanting cooks from his time in dallas.

Brandin Cooks is doing what a veteran #3 WR is supposed to do
400-500ish yards, clutch catches (which he has done when targeted), and the locker room stuff. All of things he's done thus far from what it sounds like.
6.5mil a year is/was a little excessive, but in reality we're talking about 1-2mil overpaid. It ain't absolutely back breaking

I’m not hating on Cooks, but rather our dumb arse fans asking why he isn’t being utilized more.
He’s being utilized exactly as he should be at this stage of his career.
Any game plan, emphasizing Brandon Cooks, is a bad one.

notice how I asked why did they sign this guy if he's not going to be more utilized?
big difference between saying why isn't he more utilized than asking why did we sign him in the first place.
not talking to you so much.
just some dumb frick drive by poster.

Well when your QB sucks, its hard to get production from all your WRs

Pay that kind of money for a decoy?

It’s as if you intentionally chose to ignore what he actually said. Shut up unless you want to have an honest discussion

I haven't checked other teams but I doubt the average salary for a WR3 is what we are paying Cooks.
Brandin Cooks signed a 2yr/$13M deal with $7.75M guaranteed.
If I'm interpreting spotrac correctly it's essentially a 1yr/$7.75M deal getting $6.05M of that this season. If cut prior to week 1 next season he'd account $4.9M dead cap but save $3.1M, leaving us paying him only $1.7M guaranteed for next season.
Juwan Johnson's 3yr/$30.7M deal with $21.5M guaranteed was another bad contract.
Looks like we are locked in with him through 2026 at least, paying him in 2025/2026 basically a 2yr/$21.2M, plus still having dead cap spread out in voided years.
Chris Olave's 5th year option we picked up for the 2026 season will pay him $15.6M, another dumb contract.
Shaheed I haven't been able to focus on too much. I don't know if he's not getting separation, or if Rattler is not seeing him, or if he's deeper/longer developing routes that o-line hasn't given enough time for the route to develope. I feel like like the last 2 seasons when I watched, and saw a few breakdowns that showed he was running crisp routes and getting good separation.
Vele I'm hoping starts getting included more. Couldn't expect too much too soon coming in during season without camp, then had a little injury.
2026 WR corps should be, after trading Olave;
WR1=High Draft pick and/or higher profile Free Agent
WR2/3=Rashid Shaheed #22, 6'0" - 190.....Could be great weapon if we had a true WR1
DeVaughn Vele #14, 6'5" 210.....Hope he continues to be utilized more and Moore carves out a good role for him in this system
WR4/5=Brandin Cooks #10, 5'10" - 190...Since he won't cost too much until regular season begins, maybe keep him through camp as veteran presence
Bub Means #16, 6'2" - 215.........Hopefully he can get past injuries and compete as he seemed to have a decent camp before IR
Free Agent pickup/mid-late round draft pick
Battling for a Spot=Mason Tipton #15, 5'11" - 187.....Camp beast that cannot seem to do it in a game. I though last season was mainly because he got hurt just before preseason game and he never got back on track from camp status, but this season he hasn't done anything of note yet either.
Kevin Austin Jr #81, 6'2" - 200....Looks to only be camp body
Ja'Lynn Polk #89, 6'1" - 205.......Good potential if he can get past injuries and commit. Maybe the change of scenery will help

I think cooks was brought in as an insurance policy with the the idea that Olave wouldn’t be able come back/stay healthy with his concussion history

I think they need to trade Shaeed. He has proven to only be a deep threat on a team that does not throw deep. He is also low key injury prone. I don't think we will be able to sign him anyway, so might as well move on

This.
Cooks is the #3 receiver and Rattler doesn’t usually look beyond his 2nd read.
Olave has an injury history. Cooks is here as an insurance policy if Olave and Saheed get injured again.
Cooks was with CKM in Dallas so he’s a veteran who can come in and help the learning curve with some young WRs.
Cooks is what he is. A low end #2 WR/high end #3 WR. He shouldn’t be the focus of an offense.

Micky is paying him legit money. Why pay that when you are trying to get out of cap hell. Totally unnecessary. He’s a great insurance policy if you are expecting this team to win.
Now he’s just taking snaps from someone like Tipton who we could see what we have instead.

Rattler outside of two plays does not want to push the ball downfield, and he doesn't look past his 1st or 2nd read (this is not unusual for young QBs, its not exclusive to Rattler).
So of course they are underutilized
