Is Olave THAT bad or is this all a show for a trade?

Guess he knows that we are not in the 'win now' mode and he doesn't see any post-season possibilities with this squad for another 2-3 years IF we are lucky.
First two seasons, he had 1000+ yards receiving, but only 4-5 TDs

If he wants to get traded he needs to produce, not drop balls and fold vs contact.

Blame anyone but the guy throwing the ball in the wrong spot

I get that, but it seems like he is doing JUST enough to get traded.

The hands are the wrong spot for Olave, good point

I remember even his rc season when we over drafted for him his patented move was taking plays off and showing a disinterested attitude

Yeah, he’s showing how much he sucks to generate trade interest. Yeah, right.

Look how many players the Saints have had that blew up after leaving. And they SUCKED here as well.

Bunchy once you go down this road as a saints talk poster there’s no coming back
Let’s play a game: two Olave catches or two Olave drops?

Like olave said to rattler during the game ...,"all day"
All day dropping passes
All day dropping passes

What an idiot, paid millions and a ball hits you square in the hands but it’s the qb fault. Get yo eyes checked.

Sorry, Mrs. Olave. But your son is a bitch

Baker with the "inaccurate" pass but his wr that had zero career TDs isn't a bitch

He's been doing this since year 1. This is who he is. He's a small, frail, WR that has issues with drops, fumbles, yac, premature celebrating, running OB for no reason, quitting on routes, etc. He's been the same guy since day 1. He's just a little worse now bc he's now afraid of getting concussions as well.

100%. This is who was in his prime, which was his rookie year.
He gave up on deep balls that weren’t where he felt they should be on a few occasions as a rookie resulting in Int’s. He’s never been good at contested catches and never seemed more than a. high end #2 at best even on draft day projections. He’s a high end or moderate #3 instead.
If he’s getting the most of your targets based on the talent on the squad, game plan or both…for a young QB, that’s really hard to overcome.
Mickey will extend him though and pay him like a #1 to dig deeper on his terrible draft day trade to get him.

You finally got a player right. This is all true.

We will be a better team when we have his replacement

Ironically, this was Olave's best performance of the year.
He actually looked like his old self in some ways. He should have left his feet on the early pass to the end zone and of course the fumble was unfortunate (really not something he can control). He made a great contested catch.

He can't make contested catches.
