It's hard to tell if there's a story here with the CGI overload. I'll watch it but doesn't feel "Star Treky"

I will probably watch the first episode to give it a shot, but hopes aren’t high based on that trailer.

I have to give props to CBS.
They have managed to make yet another Star Trek series that I will never watch. The closest I'll see of it is The Critical Drinker or Red Letter Media discuss it.

Then make a show that people like and not one that forces a political ideology. It’s quite simple, make the Star Trek that people like. Look at DS9 for example, no one cared about the demographics of the cast. The story was paramount. These shoehorned decisions reek man and that’s not going to ever pass the smell test.
