While eating at the buffet.. Why do women make you go up and get their plate for them?

I've been to the buffet with women only a few times and only with 4 different women but I've never made a plate UNLESS at like a potluck or a dinner where I'm like "I'll grab you a plate too".
But like an actual buffet? Never.

For me, the only allowable situation would be if she’s got the small child in order and I either OFFER or she ASKS politely.

Yes... and I used watching the little ones as a cover.
I don't know really why... I was fine getting kids plates loaded up.
We haven't done a buffet in a million years though...

They are testing you to see if you bring them a big plate or a small plate. If you bring a great big plate, you're not getting any dessert.
