Is President Trump Set to Issue $2K Tarriff Rebate Checks?

This is the first I've heard about it. Personally, I'd be okay if they kept all of the incoming tariff revenue to go towards debt relief, but I can understand Trump's "Share the wealth" attitude here. Besides, who knows? A $2K Tariff rebate check might even make a few broke wokies feel better about MAGA just in time for the 2026 midterms.
I wonder if any of the "gloom and doom" TDS-obsessed anti-tariff crowd has FINALLY acknowledged that tariffs didn't exactly bring the American economy to a screeching halt?

Didn’t watch that video yet, but would that be from tariff revenues or “new” money printed like the stimulus checks?
Either way, I think I’d say no and put it towards the debt. But could of course be persuaded otherwise

If it happens, the melt will be glorious to see, as the woke loons will be refusing free $2000 just to spite Trump.

It should only go to people who actually had to pay taxes.

For what it’s worth, price increases for the 20% tariffs from SE Asia, etc still haven’t hit the shelves. Most folks I know in CPG have increases coming late October.
One client of mine who manufactures IN THE USA is hurting significantly due to the tariffs on tropical fruits and seasonings

No. Needs to go to the deficit.

the sad about these tarrifs, is that we should of NEVER been here in the 1st place.
we have buying power like NO ONE, we should of never been in the red, with anyone, except a feww small countries, where we bring in specialized goods.
Our politicians and past presidents gave us the fiinger and sold us out.
Being in the Red with the UK?????? Get the frick out of here, those crooked teeth cunts should be begging us to keep them in a lower red number,. Begging us not to push prices on goods.
Instead we let them run all over us. Both parties did this.

Hard pass on $2k checks. Anyone remember what happened when stimulus checks were given out? Inflation.
Pay debt off instead.

This is my issue with these rebates like the COVID stimmies. They are means tested. Thanks for the relative tax increase I guess
