I have a few rental properties in the area and pass by. The place is abandoned and has turned to shite. I know they’ve tried to zone for houses, townhouses and commercial yet nothing has happened.
Anyone know what may be going on?

Nobody wants to live in Sherwood Forest or Broadmoor anymore.
ETA: hence, you own rental property in the area.

I remember the place but don’t think they ever had horses.

Born in the 1970's and swam there as a kid as we lived in Sherwood Forest.
It's not a very hot real estate market in that area nowadays, who in their right mind would develop something on that property today?

That was the place to be back in the day. The high dive and the "well" beneath it. The good ole days.

Had our 8th grade graduation pool party there back in 05. Good times

Crushed hard on some lifeguard chicks back in early 90’s. When they were on lifeguard chair it was mandatory viewing.

I never knew Sherwood Forest ever had an aquatic club. Where exactly is it?

It was on Mollylea close to Sharp

Spent many a summer day at the Aquatic Club. We loved it.

The more residents of a neighborhood like to swim, the more popular a neighborhood pool is in a subdivision. If it’s abandoned, well …

Was a member of the Piedmont. We hated the Aquatic Club swim team. They thought they were so great.

I’m sure being next to Broadmoor Plantation didn’t help either.

I swam there every day in the summer from 88-94ish. Good times.
Place was always packed.
The high dive was amazing and the only one.

Park Forrest pool was pretty fun too back in the 80’s!

See. There they go.
Piedmont had a high dive board too.
John Mahaffey could be seen on a poolside lounge chair smoking, drinking, and getting a tan.
