This may be his only legit chance at a NC with this defense. Best chance is to play MVB until Nuss is healed.

That’s not my opinion. I think he should play. I’m saying Kelly may feel that way. I wasn’t clear in my original statement.

He can but the time to do it was 2nd half last week. At least for a couple possessions. That’s how A&M beat us last year. Doesn’t mean Nuss would have been done either way. Marcel Reed didn’t look nearly as good once teams were able to prep for him last year.

This is how I feel as well. I have no huge idea that MVB will tear it up and do that much better. But I do know we need to do something different even if it's just to get Nuss healed or help him get his thoughts straight. If MVB doesn't cut it, then throw in Hurley to see what he looks like. Why carry quarterbacks if you don't ever plan on using them?

If he used MVB it shows he’s willing to take a chance and try something.
Saban pulled Hurts for Tua and again pulled Milroe for a few games.

He needs to fix the O Line and TE issues. If he doesn’t do that then it doesn’t matter who the QB is.

I agree needs to fix oline but it does matter. The remaining games are going to be very close and having a QB that can elude a few sacks a game and make the defense pay with his feet could be the difference. Nuss cant throw right now and is pretty much a statue in pocket.
