Anyone else feel like the wind is totally out of the sails for the football team?

Rarely has one loss felt like this during the regular season, but this one does. This was supposed to be one of our best years. 5th year QB, spent millions on a defense, studs at RB, fastest WR corps in the country.....
Instead we have a QB who can't throw accurately and looks scared shitless, WRs that can't catch, an OL that can't block, and RBs that are blind to running lanes. These aren't things you can fix overnight.
Sorry for beating a dead horse, but damn, this season had so much promise just a couple weeks ago. All for the low price of $10M a year.

I hope you are right Bossman.

I’m very glad we have a bye week. I’d worry more if we were playing SC or Vandy on Saturday

One way to look at it is Lsu only has one 5 pt loss to the number 4 team in the country.

I just don't know how we are going to fix the offensive line. Sure, they can improve, but they were struggling against Southeastern. How are they going to block A&M or Bama?

Bama seemed to fix their horrideous first game prep
they look like they have a big culture problem brewing over there...
Our culture is fine the coaches have to make some bold moves this week
otherwise you do look like you have to mail in the season with 3-4 loses
Offense has been bad every single game
ALL THAT SAID, EVERY TEAM IN AMERICA IS BEATABLE THIS YEAR...
SO GO FIX IT AND MOVE FORWARD!

Fix the OL and all the other things get better.
If you could get serious heart and performance outta the OL, this team would turn around in a couple weeks.
That’s a big if. I’m not saying it’ll happen. I can’t even honestly say I saw a team do it before. I don’t know what it even takes to get an OL to play markedly better.
But I know the rest of this shite will all straighten out if the OL could protect the QB and push DL around.

It feels like one of those losses in the later Miles' years when it would be a new year and we'd see the same pathetic offensive production against a decent team and know we were doomed from being great no matter how good the D was.

This guy going to celebrate being the 12 seed?
Newsflash, there aren’t 12 teams that can win a NC. It’s all for show. Being the 5-12 seed is a glorified participation trophy.

O line is fine. Qb play is the issue. Hes hurt. Pull him

The loss sucked a big ole fat dog. I was pissed. And quite honestly, as I’ve gotten older losses just kinda fade away but this one was embarrassing to see. BUT, teams can improve. We have a lot to fix, but we have a bye at a critical time and hopefully we can improve on S Carolina and start making marked improvement week to week. If we do that we still have 1 loss to play with.
I like all of our home games. We have to beat vandy there. Then split bama/ou.

Not yet, but if we get to three losses and then NO CHANGES are made IN SEASON, I'll feel that we are dead in the water and could lose 4-5 games.
So Car we explore offensive changes, personnel too. Vandy we are put to the test on the road and really see what happens. Can we stop Pavia?
A win vs AM will have to have a full tilt Tiger Stadium and some big plays on offense and defense, BK better get that complimentary football shite going.
At Bama, who knows, we've won a game or two each year we shouldn't win and maybe this is it or maybe we get curb stomped.
Arky, W Ky, win and stay healthy.
OU, close out the regular season and hopefully have no more than two losses on our resume going into the postseason.
Win: So Car, Arkansas, W. Ky
Likely win: Vandy
Difficult win with a realistic chance of a loss: AM, Bama, OU

Well, mathematically speaking, LSU is not eliminated at present. However, looking at the absolute mess of an offense it is sporting, it is reasonable to conclude that this team will lose at least 2 more (and probably more) games. So, from that perspective, I think it is all over but the shouting...

Apparently you didn't watch the game or replays. 3 man rush and OM put pressure on Nuss all day. Especially the LSU right tackle. A high school coach could have told the right tackle how not to keep being beat.

Slow down with all the optimism lol. We still have several more stages of grief to get over the events of Saturday.

Nah. Lots of teams have looked iffy at times.
Just depends on how guys respond.
Some could see it as a wake up call that we must lock in.
We have an extra week to get healthy and hopefully completely simplify our offensive blocking scheme to allow the RBs to have room to run.
We’ve said all year… 2 losses would still get us in with most people agreeing we would probably drop a couple games, many thinking we’d lose to Clemson…
We beat Clemson and lost to ole Miss… and despite the loss, we still had opportunities to win.
