I just don’t get why MVB isn’t getting serious consideration

This is a natty caliber defense being wasted with a dog crap offense. It’s obvious once again we don’t have the nastiness in run blocking to be effective running the ball. So how do you solve that? Insert a qb who can move around. MVB is a playmaker with his legs while still have a strong arm to drive the football.

Nuss has flat out held this team back the deep passing take is nonexistent with him. I’ve been defending him all season but that ole miss game is the last straw for me. The under throw to Hilton was painful you cannot miss throws like that and be a natty caliber qb.

WE had a natty offense with Jayden and ZERO defense, and now we have a natty defense with - ZERO offense.....chaos reigns!

He may not be better than Nuss but he can’t be worse right now.

And he will take easy yards with his legs if the defense is giving it to him.

MVB is the last thing Kelly wants.

Kelly doesn't want improvisation - he wants his shitty playbook run to a T.

Plus if he did do it and it didn't work out that's a huge blow in confidence to the entire team throwing Nuss back out there.

He may have the issue that Rohan talks about having himself. He says he didn't look particularly good in practice, but he would look great in games and scrimmages that mimicked real gameplay. He said that it is because the way they run scenarios in practice is kind of unnatural relative to gameplay. That makes sense to me as to why sometimes coaches don't recognize how good certain QBs are until they get thrust into actual game play.

It's very simple. Nuss was preseason Heisman favorite. To keep future recruits you have to give him a chance to work it out. MVP did great against a subpar defense. To keep transfer recruits happy, you have to give them a chance when the starter is struggling.

How do you keep all 3 sides happy? Third side is the fans, and they stay happy with a win

I would at least give him some packages that utilize his legs.

I think they have a hard on about redshirting him but isn't that rule about to change a way?

He was really bad all of fall camp. If you are basing it off of his game against Southeastern that’s probably not a great thing to go off of

Again, Ole Miss had the worst run defense in the SEC and you can’t find a few packages to get our dual threat QB out there? Kelly and Sloan are jokes.

Getting arse blasted by ole miss can’t have been good for their confidence

On the road?
With the starting RB and WR out with injury?
Down by 10 forcing them to be even more one-dimensional?

Starting MVB in the 2nd half would have signaled to the world you’ve given up on the season.

Another loss and the discussion will heat up. It will take 3 losses at least to see MVB on the field.

Right now WRs are even worse than Nuss, so it's hard to tell wth is going on.

Because a ton of money has been invested in Nuss through NIL money. You will see teams tank a season just because of NIL money. Happened to FSU last year with that POS QB they had but stuck with him until it was too late.

I don’t think MVB should be crowned a savior before winning a football game for us, but I definitely agree that he should’ve gotten at least a few snaps in this game.

This offense has deep issues, but in the scheme we are running MVB adds a wrinkle. Good pocket presence and the threat to scramble adds a lot for a defense to account for all else equal.

You’re at a point where you’ve got to try something.

I think at the very least you have to give him a few series a game. Just to give the defense something else to prep for and to see if he can creat something.

SELA is the only game Nuss looked worth a shite too. We’ve also seen him play against decent and downright bad teams and look like shite. How you can argue that the backup will suck because he sucked during fall practice is questionable. Instead you want a practice all star we’ve seen be abysmal in game?
