Humberto - OTS
94L - Will be interacting with an upper low that will sink southward into the SE US. That should limit it to a TS or maybe a weak hurricane. Also, the track of Humberto will play a role in determining whether 94L can make landfall or is pulled back out.
For those interested in a deeper dive into 94L, the good folks over at the Eyewall have a post up here.

Do we root for a strong Humberto to drag this to-be-formed TS out to sea? Is that a thing?

Rds,
What is keeping the GOA and the east coast protected? We have seen several storms, some becoming a major hurricane and they all go OTS
I am not wanting a storm to hit but I would like to know what is different this year over past years?
Shear? High pressure? Dry air?
It seems the Atlantic and GOA water temps are just slightly below the last few years averages but there seems to be plenty of fuel for a storm but thankfully nothing has gotten close
What is causing this?

I'm hoping for some good fujiwhara action next week.

Interesting read popped up on the home page feed.
Hurricane forecasters watch for rare, chaotic Fujiwhara effect
Will be interesting watch how this plays out.
