They give Bama MISSISSIPPI frickING STATE as a permanent opponent I mean you have got to be kidding me.

The schools are 90 minutes apart and have played over 100 times. How is that corrupt
Posted on 9/22/25 at 3:04 pm to T1gerNate
They are like 60 miles from each other

their campuses are 90 minutes apart and they have 2 other big 6 teams. if you ever go to a game in Starkville you will probably stay in Columbus where there’s more bama stuff around town than there is Moo State
also, historically speaking our permanents are easier

They were always going to get Auburn and Tennessee
State has played more games against Bama than any other team and they’re only 90 miles apart, closer than any other 2 SEC schools. That’s not a surprise
LSUs permanents are just as easy as Bama’s

Bama already had Tennessee & Auburn. Had to give them somebody else

There was no way they were getting Auburn, Tennessee and LSU.
..especially with no more Saban.

Just when you thought there was no way somebody would have complaints about the permanent opponents.....

I agree 100%
But don’t worry
Bama will not survive tDecline

It was mostly done by geography, they are 80 miles apart.

Just think how fun it will be to watch the burning continue when they lose to Miss St every year

I am not complaining because the alternative was to give them us. I am satisfied with R-kansas.

Well this isn’t true. State has played 2 teams more. Ole Miss (117) and LSU (114) are both more than Alabama (104).
But Bama’s two permanents are Auburn and Tenn. They were going to give them an easier 3rd team. They gave us Arkansas because it makes more sense to give them to us since we have an “trophy game” and gives us a game for “Rivalry weekend.”

Are you mad we don’t have to play Bama every year?!?
Posted on 9/22/25 at 4:11 pm to T1gerNate
They didn't give Bama Vandy...thats all I care about.

I found out today that Miss St played Bama more than any other SEC team has played any other SEC team.
I also found out that LSU has played TAMU WAY more than any other team they have played. I still don't get that rivalry feeling with them though. I do get it with Florida.

Brah, we got Rkansas...is there really a difference?

For reference. Honestly, I wanted LSU to keep Bama and we lost Florida too. Those were great games to have every year.
Texas pulled a tough group but they didn’t have many options. OU and Ole Miss is a bit baffling but they needed a tough one and so did OU though I cannot see a rivalry ever forming.
