Bruce Pearl retiring; more than likely running for senate

Not so fast. Will he automatically get bama fans votes just because he is a great basketball coach? There are other Repubs running for this thing. Most kind of cleared the way for Tuberville and he had been gone from Auburn for a bit. Most importantly, there is one really big difference between Bruce and Tuberville. I think if he could get the nomination, he would have it won easy. But he will have a tough time getting the nomination.
I love Coach Pearl. Love what he did for our program and I could never be mad at him. That said, there is no way in hell I'm voting for him for US Senate.

I wish I could move to Alabama and vote for Bruce Pearl. He will be a phenomenal Senator!

I disagree. Bruce Pearl is an easily likeable guy, even as a Bama fan. Most Bama fans are not going to care he coached and won big at Auburn. I don't think he would be retiring if he knew he wasn't in a good spot. Seems like nowadays a lot of people want an outsider, which Pearl brings.
