They're going to move up to 16 teams.

Is it better to give the 6th place SEC or B1G team another chance after they lost multiple games?

Let's say Tulane runs the table and Ole Miss finishes with three SEC losses. Tulane would get in before a 9-3 rebels team despite getting demolished 45-10 heads up.

No one watches the FCS or lower playoffs either but the chance to win a title still means a lot to those guys.

So that every team at least has a chance when the season starts.

Not everyone can afford $30 million nil’s and go buy a team year in and year out.

Or buy a team and lose.

It doesn’t matter the bottom teams get blown out anyways

I'd rather see a G5 conference champ than a third or fourth place "P4" team.

If they get rid of most of the bowls, and replace them with a G5 playoff, they will watch.

OM is free to join a different conference if they think the SEC makes it too hard for them. Hell, Tulane will swap if they want.

Because the power4 conferences don’t have a majority of schools at the FBS level. If the G5 was completely excluded they could block the P4 schools from doing anything.

Why not? Everybody loves an underdog.

And it's not like they're keeping a deserving team out. Indiana made the playoffs last year. If you lose 3 games, you don't have a pot to piss in.

No they couldn’t because the P4 schools could just tell the G5 and the ncaa to frick off and create their own “league”.
