There was so much hatred for Trump that I don't think Dems can get close to the numbers they got. I'm sure they'll retain some but I really think that Charlie Kirk reaction knee capped them enough for at least another full election cycle.

I don't see who else Democrats have on deck after Newsom. And his performance in California has been controversial. So yeah you might be looking at the next Democrat candidate.

This. Hell, we barely got Trump v Biden debate in 2024. Then Trump and Harris teams started negotiating their debate like they were boxing promoters.
I think presidential debates during election season may actually disappear in the future.
