Kelly says hes dealing with torso injury that's limited him in practice, particularly in throwing deep balls.

Well that's sure showing up in the games isn't it?

Kelly says hes not going to have a chance to heal up until the bye week. Well that's after Ole Miss. Why wait? It he needs a week to get right, sit him this week. Why carry him into Ole Miss in limited form if its going to lead to a crippled offense like we've been watching?

If it’s bothering him enough to make that bad of a pass (La Tech under throw INT) then yes, absolutely.

I’ll demand an answer from CBK for you when he checks in with me later this week.

It’s SLU. Start the 2nd team QB and give Nuss a day off.

1000% he should sit. If we can't beat SELU without him, we have much bigger problems.

I would sit anyone dealing with any nagging injuries this weekend and get healthy. This isn't a team that is the same caliber as Tech even. Let them rest to go on the road against a ranked opponent.

I wasnt even thinking back to the Tech INT but it makes sense in context. Last year he spent all year over throwing the deep ball and that one was a miserable under throw. Plus theyre not even trying to throw deep. Like no shots at all.

I guess they know he cant get enough on his deep ball.

I know MVB aint Perrilloux, but 3rd game of the 07 season they let Matt Flynn sit against MTSU and started RP to let Flynn heal up a bit from his injury. So it's not unheard of.

If Nuss's injury really is that big of an issue then I wouldn't have a problem letting him rest and protect himself before a critical road game @ Ole Miss. No disrespect intended but Nuss shouldn't be the difference between winning and losing against SELU.

Absolutely no reason to play him this weekend if he’s dealing with an injury .

Yes.
If he needs one week’s rest to recover, do it now. That is a no brainer.

Correct, this is the team that LA Tech beat 24-0.

It's really impossible for anyone here to answer without full knowledge of the injury so you might as well trust the staff on this. This is also a good game to develop more chemistry with the WRs so they may want Nuss playing this game anyway

I think if the O--Line wasn't also in the process of trying to gel he would have sat the LA-Tech game. The problem is they are actively trying to get the O-Line and Nuss on the same page week to week and every rep matters. Hopefully if he starts this weekend we can get all of the starters rotating out early.

No. The offense needs the reps to get ready for Ole Miss. BK said they’ve been limiting Nuss’s reps in practice all season so far. Let him play, work on the running game and some other things in the passing game, put some things on film for Ole Miss, get a lead, then put the backup in. But Nuss needs to play some.

He just hasn't looked like Nuss. I guess now we know why.

Play him for no more than 4 offensive series.

Yes. If that’s the reason for his bad play then why is he playing?
