The play calling is holding the offense back .

Offensive scheme does not match QB skill set. This is the issue.

What plays do you want Sloan to call if the run game is non-existent? When the defense can drop 6 on every play without worrying about the run game that makes the pass game that much more difficult.

With the speed and skill players we have, he should be taking the top off of defenses. How many times have we gone deep? We have 5 players that run over 22mph, elite speed. Cut them loose! He plays way to conservative. Not creative enough. Unless Nuss is having problems throwing the long ball in practice.

Don’t honestly think he’s not?
He’s not going to call out coaches publicly by name, but when he says “we have to coach better” what do you think he’s talking about?

Why have we not let Watkins run the sweep, fastest guy on the team. He is just not mixing it up and going deep. To tentative.

I often wonder why don’t call short passes. Something quick to get the ball out of Nuss’ hands. Run game was practically non existent last year will few flashes. It just seems they won’t allow Nuss to throw the ball at all. Very reminiscent of Les Miles days.

Kelly knows this is his year. He has to be upset with the offense performance. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take playcaller duties if they don’t show out this weekend and OM. I’m sure Baker isn’t happy having his guys out there for 38 minutes either.

Our play calling is a smattering of random plays with no flow or “coordination” or seemingly much attention to down and distance.
I still don’t know wtf Sloan was thinking calling a pass play on 3rd and 27.

So far in this thread one person said they don’t throw enough deep balls and someone else they don’t throw enough short passes.

I'm not sure playcalling and scheme are the issue. Until our o-line learns to block and our QB plays more efficiently, the best scheming only temporarily hides the issue.

This board knows nothing about what's going on.
For all we know, Nuss has a major injury that he's playing through and people are blaming muh playcalling.

Then adjust the scheme to fit the skill set of your QB. This is the stupid thing and why Sloan sucks.
