This is a spiritual battle, not a political one(Christian thread)

In political battles, we debate tax and spending policy. You can have fair debates about that. What we are dealing with is people who have allowed their hearts to be hardened. They didnt really hate Charlie Kirk...they hate what is good, what is innocent, what is just. They hate God. This isnt just CK. Its kids being slaughtered in church pews and at school. Its innocent young women being stabbed on trains.
Ive mentioned this in other threads so forgive me for repeating this, but I think it deserves its own thread. Many Christians are gonna say "turn the other cheek" There is a distinction which MUST be clarified. Yes we pray for those who hate US. We love OUR enemies. These people hate God. They reject God. We ARE to hate those who hate God. They are our enemies. They have to be defeated and its very important that as a Christian, you pray for their defeat and judgement.
They will never be reasoned with. God does harden hearts. I believe that once God does defeat these people, we can have a bright future. You must pray for it.

Turn the other cheek doesn't mean that we don't pray for the evil to be defeated. Of course we need justice, and that is what we haven't had in years, as our elected "leaders" have failed us. We are not to return violence except in cases of self defense. Many have been losing their minds and talking about retaliation, and that is where, as Christians, we have to be able to control ourselves, and not let our anger push us over the edge. That leads to chaos. We should pray for justice as well as healing, and the strength to forgive.
Don't mistake that for weakness. It doesn't take a strong person to be angry. Just look at the left.

Actually you are a good example here. I dont really like you, I think you are crass, purposely deceitful at times and someone who stirs up anger just for the sake of it...and I wouldnt really classify you as my enemy either but I dont put you in the category as hating God. I think you are misguided and yes you are the kind of person we as Christians should pray for.
There are people who genuinely hate God and everything good. There are MANY of these people, some we see when we turn on the TV, some have positions of power in DC and State governments, some are professors, students, business owners etc. Many of them outed themselves after CK was shot. These people must be removed from society

And nowhere’s in that epistle does St. Paul instruct followers of the way to resist in violence.

When Jesus tells us to love our enemies and turn the other cheek (Matt. 5:39, 44), He’s talking about how we handle personal conflict. That’s an instruction for individuals, don’t strike back, don’t take revenge, show mercy. It’s about personal relationships and learning to trust God with justice instead of trying to get even ourselves.
But that’s very different from the role of government. The state has a job that individuals don’t: keeping order, restraining evil, and punishing wrongdoing. Paul makes this clear in Romans 13, government authority is set in place by God, and rulers “do not bear the sword in vain” (Rom. 13:4). In other words, the state is given responsibility to enforce laws and administer justice, something Christians as individuals are told not to take into their own hands (Rom. 12:19).
Jesus Himself recognized this distinction. He never argued against governments punishing crime, even though punishments back then were harsh and public. Instead, He acknowledged their authority, saying, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Matt. 22:21). When He stood before Pilate, He even said Pilate’s power came from above (John 19:11).
So the takeaway is this: as individuals, we’re called to live out radical forgiveness and mercy. But governments have a separate God-given role, to protect society and uphold justice. Mixing the two leads to problems, either people take justice into their own hands, or governments stop doing the job they’re meant to do.

Been saying this. Charlie Kirk was murdered in large part because he was so strong in his faith and was showing young people that it’s ok to be a conservative Christian and hold those values no matter what anyone says or thinks of it
It also exposed how many demons are among us. We knew this but it’s crazy how they’ve shown themselves

I simply post this here so that you can see the response to the repudiation in its simplest form. I would like to thank the public who turned to prayer. All of the saints have authority over the defeated foe.

So if some dumbass makes a hateful comment on social media about Kirk's death you want them "removed from society" ? Thats insane and the same type of mindset of the person that shot Kirk.

Yes. I have no tolerance for this. While im not telling people to go shoot them, I think removing them from our lives, shunning them, etc is an appropriate response.
