Reminder, Leah Vann used to have an AP vote.

Explains a lot on who votes in these polls. I think it’s time for the NCAA to hold people accountable for who gets to vote in the AP.

It’s fun to talk about & criticize individual polls, but it really doesn’t matter when there’s 65 other voters. They get it right as a whole.
Nevermind the fact that the AP poll literally means nothing once the CFP rankings come out

Leah Vann covering LSU baseball was an SNL skit

AP is just something to talk about for a couple of months until the CFP comes out. Literally meaningless

Technically yes. But the committee 100% uses the AP poll when creating their rankings.

Even subconsciously

The NCAA does not and should not have any control over how another private organization does anything. They can't even get their own house in order.

The NCAA doesn’t even control the CFP committee.. much less the AP.

She was totally worthless and unappreciative of the opportunity she was given. So glad her stupid arse is back in Texas with the rest of the delusionals.

I’d touch Leah’s red grass

Unlike the OP, I bet Leah Vann knows that the NCAA doesn't control the AP poll

Remember when she was hoping Crews would hit a walk off AT Florida so she could run her pre-written story?

Also, the numbers next to the teams on broadcasts are AP Poll numbers, and you’d be extremely naive to believe those numbers don’t impact broadcast choices. Increase exposure leads to increased votes.
While the AP has no official bearing on the college football playoff selection, it 100% imparts influence and perception onto the season and onto teams.

I don’t even think she made it a full season covering the Astros when she got to the Chronicle. At least I haven’t seen anything from her this season

She was driving clicks for Chicken with 10 page threads discussing when the appropriate time to use PTO is.

I gonna get roasted for this BUT... That girl gets entirely too much hate on this board. I'm not saying she was good at covering our teams but neither is Koki and he doesn't get dragged the way she does.

And this attention is going to cause more to do what the voter did.
Without attention the media doesn't exist. In a world where the AP, and main stream media as a whole, is becoming less and less relevant, "journalist" will try to create attention by any means necessary in order to sustain their livelihood.
Being wrong, controversial, having stupid takes, etc is not a career ender. Being ignored and irrelevant is.

I think her constant complaining caused a lot of hate and it was pretty fair. She said a few times she wanted to be anywhere except Baton Rouge, so of course people aren’t going to think highly of her.
