When will Nussmier run the ball...

Or is this directly from the coaches not to run the ball. There were a handful of plays that he could have picked up 5-8 yards and he just didn't tuck it and run.

Dude, it isn’t happening unless it’s a designed run. He is kinda who he is at this point. It’s frustrating, to be sure.

He's going to House one going 85 Yards, Saturday Night

Nuss has a tendency to make a high risk throw even with 20 yards of open space in front of him to easily gain with is legs. I don't get it.

I ask myself the same thing but to be honest this was not the game to get banged up on a QB run… this week is a different story.

TBH, I really don't care that he didn't run the ball against La Tech. Save it for the big games as to not put him at a higher risk of injury. You definitely don't want him to have to miss any time this season...

If we all agree the team can’t get where it wants to go under and circumstances if Nuss gets hurt, he should never run against Tech. He probably was on a very direct order not to run. That’s just a sound approach.
He had a designed QB run and 2 sneaks a week ago. You fire those bullets when you need them.
The only reason even JD5 got free rein to run no matter the opponent in ‘23 is because Nuss was the backup.

He ran the ball for a first down against Clemson.
When playing LA Tech, do you want your QB1 running the ball into traffic for 5 yards? or taking a shot with your extremely talented WR?
Keep in mind, you cannot see the running lane on TV. People were losing their minds that he didn't run on the TD pass in the first quarter. What they couldn't see on the broadcast were the two line backers sitting directly at the goal line ready to light up the star SEC quarterback.

Well that and he was also the best RB on the team

there were at least two plays where he could have run it and had plenty of room to go out of bounds 15 years down field without anyone laying a hand on him - the approach is to win the game -

He ran the ball 2-3 times in key situations vs Clemson
He's not gonna do it against La Tech

That's a good and bad thing. Good b/c we get in a situation where we need a 1st down we all know he will run like he did in Clemson game. Bad b/c the defense can keep 2 deep safeties back for most of the game w/o any real worry of him taking off when he has opportunity. It's also worth noting that a lot of the QB's in today's college game are also accomplished runners. That's not Nussmeier's strength. Passing the football is. It will serve him well in the pros as a pocket passer. We'll see if he starts running more as the SEC season gets into full swing. Going for a championship requires sacrifice. Let's see how this plays out. Relax.....

I know one if not all of those were designed runs. We’re talking about when no one is open and he throws a very high risk pass downfield when there is 20 yards of green in front of him.

Except the spots people are complaining about didnt have any traffic within 30 yards.
One in particular was a 2nd or 3rd and 10 in the second half, he rolled left with nothing open and 30 yards of green grass to get atleast 10 yards for the first and step out of bounds. Instead he forces a throw to the back corner of the endzone that should have been picked.
Its one thing to want him to take designed runs off tackle but another to have him show he's aware and capable od scrambling for yards when its open and guaranteed to extend drives

Dude was limping around the field on Wk1 and y'all want him to run.
Genius strategy there

But will he??? The Clemson run was a designed run.
We have seen multiple examples where he doesn't, anyone with confidence that he will take off and run hasn't paid attention.
He's shown time and time again even this past weekend that with 30 yards of open field he will throw into traffic instead of taking the easy 10-20 yards and stepping out of bounds.

Hester Mentioned this doing Color on Saturday. He said Nuss got an earful from BK.
Nuss just might be a P2ssy, or dumber than people give him credit for.

He will have run in the ole miss game for us to have a chance to win

That’s why a few plays a game should go to the kid from Moo State to give him some snaps and keep Nuss from having to do that
