LINK to NY Times article

This company has been left leaning to fully leftist. Odd for a company selling products to farmers. Now they have the NYT writing articles bemoaning how Trump policies hurt them. I despise both Deere and NYT

Publicly traded companies must bow to the biggest investors, BlackRock and Vanguard and the like. And those large investment funds must bow to their largest customers, the unions and pension funds of the government employees of NY and CA.

If he knew how they are built now he would probably understand. I used to work in the Deere plant in Georgia that made the 4000 and 5000 series tractors and they no longer strive for quality, it's all about building them as cheaply as possible with the cheapest parts possible.

Your Kabota is a much better choice considering what you get vs how much you spent, believe me

John Deere: "even though we're an American company, these tariffs are killing us"

The poli board: "why is John Deere spewing leftist propaganda?"

Deere's maintenance racket.

Deere executives should go to federal prison on a RICO case. They are literally running an organized crime syndicate via their maintenance program

has sucked it up since they off-shored much of their production... tried to pull the "you can't work on your own equipment" bullshite and don't even try to get parts now...

A once great American company....

I was gifted a Cub Cadet mower a few years ago, and it turned out to be the biggest piece of shite I had ever seen. It barely made it past one summer before I gave up on the God damn thing. I still use my 30 year-old Murray workhorse mower.

You're not kidding. After only three cuts, the blade belt snapped and needed replacement. I bought a new belt and in order to install it, I had to lift the whole God damn engine block out of the mower. If I wasn't so pig-headed and determined to do it myself I would not have had any other choice but to bring it to a dealer to be fixed.

frick John Deere.

Theyve become a corporate boondoggle who chases paper profits to bolster stock prices. What they’ve been doing on the service side alone is worthy of scorn. The people running John Deere aren’t in touch with the realities of their customer base and essentially are a Chardonnay crowd running a company who’s customers want a Budweiser

I like how you took the time to type out GD twice and remembered to capitalize God both times.

You pay 20-30% more for a green tractor when an orange tractor can do the same job.

I hope the EPA gets rid of the emissions nonsense on all vehicles, especially tractors.

This really is a problem. Companies like BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, etc should not be able to use customer purchases as proxy influence. And by that I mean a complete wall between the investment companies and the companies they invest in, like what we used to have between commercial and investment banking with Glass-Steagall.

Most large American corporations fit this profile. Stop supporting them and trying to rig the economy in their favor.

There is nothing wrong with buying higher value foreign goods to force American companies to compete.

Protectionism simply keeps American dysfunction rolling.

Like Bud Light, Cracker Barrel, Gillette, Harley Davidson... it's "almost" like there's some massive financial benefit for these long standing companies to mock & insult their loyal customer base. Some underlying cause to ignore basic business practices and devalue their own companies.

"Behaviors are gonna have to change and this is one thing were asking companies. You have to force behaviors, and at BlackRock we are forcing behaviors"

John Deere has been fricking their consumers for awhile now. Not sure who watched the documentary but they are/have moved to a subscription based model where the error codes can only be fixed by an authorized rep. Back in the day, you haul your tractor to your shed and fix whatever is wrong.
