Another film about le heckin evil nahtzees. Is anyone else tired of these? The soviets committed atrocities just as, if not, worse than the Reich. Not agreeing with them at all but some parity would be nice.

I think even the crew that produced all the Hostel movies might think doing Unit 731 would be a bit much.

I assume this is based on Nuremberg Diary by G.M. Gilbert.

We have 22 million excess deaths since January 2020 throughout the world. Yes, this scumbag is comparable to the High Command. He’s responsible for more deaths than Goering, that’s for sure.

They make good built in villans.
Red soviets are used in similar ways but we didn't wipe them out in the same way.

Hermann Göring

Was he fat during the trials? When I searched his name, all of the images are of a man much smaller than Russell Crowe in that trailer.

Movie looks like it will be good.

No, he lost a ton of weight after his arrest and he got off drugs.

Goering was relatively fat during the beginning of the war, but started losing it when Germany’s fortunes turned out of stress.

Goering was definitely the most extravagant whore of Hitler’s inner circle with him personally going nuts in the Louvre and taking any painting he damn well pleased to add to his personal art collection, ate the finest foods, and drank extravagantly expensive wines.

He also had a hardcore morphine addiction that he got after a WWI injury, which may have affected his personality more than anything else.

Goering was shot in the groin during, I believe the Beer Hall Putsch. That's where his morphine addiction started.

Yes. The most recent two Nazi/Holocaust movies I've seen were, IMO, VERY highly overrated by critics. "Zone of Interest" was well directed and had some impressive moments, but I don't feel that it was a standout film that was worthy of the praise that it received. I watched "A Real Pain" about 6 months ago and can't remember much about it except that it was a struggle to finish.

But the subject does have some elite films. Besides the obvious/popular ones (Schindler's List, Pianist, Judgement at Nuremburg), I HIGHLY recommend "Conspiracy". It was an HBO film, so it's always available on HBOMAX. It was a simple/cheap film to make, but has some top tier acting and is full of interesting debates that intertwine logic, bureaucracy, ethnic differences, economics, and military concerns. Schindler's List and The Pianist might be "better" films, but Conspiracy is much more rewatchable and should be an interesting film (even to people tired of the subject, it's not a "woe is me" type of film).
