Some interesting cuts from other teams to consider.

Bradyn Swinson OLB/DE
Robert Woods WR
Dontae Manning CB
Terrace Marshall Jr. WR
Kyle McCord QB
Xavier Restrepo WR
Javon Foster OT
Willie Lampkin IV G
I liked Swinson as a pass rusher which we undoubtedly need. Could develop him to be a solid rush guy IMO.
I’m surprised Restrepo didn’t stick on a roster. Could be a ST guy that develops into a 3rd WR. Marshall is a tall and fast WR which we could use. Still relatively young.
I liked Foster and Lamkin in the draft. I don’t know enough about all the other OL that were cut, but these two guys show promise and could be really good depth and spot starters. The only knock on Lampkins in the draft was his size.

Nice post. I'm surprised about Swinson, he seemed to have potential at LSU. Suspect Pats will try to get him on their practice squad.

Why wasn't he on the travel ball circuit?

If Frank Gore Jr. is available, we should grab him.

A player i was always intrigued by was Cobee Bryant, cut by the falcons.

He's small and ran a 4.8 40.

Yeah I know but every game I watched miami play he kept them going. Not a 1 or 2 but just liked the kid.

He’s small, but he seems like one of those guys who is just a solid player that is tough and will go over the middle and get you those four or five yards if you need it. Kind of like a Hunter Renfroe type.

Pretty sure he got in trouble at Oregon and Kelly suspended him for the season opener last year IIRC. Also, bought a Lambo after getting drafted. Seems like he doesn’t make many good life choices.
Hunter Renfrow is who we need to target.

CKM is keeping a lot of edge guys so Swinson has little room there.
TMarshall is the one that perplexes me. Dude has the tools to be great.

Bradyn Swinson, OLB/DE: Has the physical tools to at a minimum be a very good backup with potential be a legit starter. But is he mature enough to have it together between the ears to commit to putting in the effort it takes to succeed in the NFL? Maybe Bo Davis could work with him since he knows him. I would definitely put waiver claim in.
Terrace Marshall Jr, WR: Basically the same write up as Swinson (LSU homer I know, but seriously). I am surprised after getting cut 3 times, now 4, that he hasn't found a way to stick to a team considering his abilities. I could see Burrow convincing the Bengals to sign him to the practice squad and their familiarity being enough to stick and become a role player there. I'd like to think he could step in today and by next Sunday be better than trotting out Cedric Wilson and Brandin Cooks, but I say that without knowing or hearing anything of his work ethic, attitude, or how he conducts himself off the field though I don't recall ever hearing anything negative.
Willie Lampkin IV, G: Was pretty good overall in college, but his small size 5'10" 275lb is a pretty significant hill to overcome to compete at the NFL level. I always thought he would benefit trying to convert over to DT with that size, but there aren't many complete position changes that are successful in the NFL
Kyle McCord, QB: Is an interesting prospect, and one I feel like could be a gem. But I don't think we are a good fit for what he & his agent would be looking for with both Rattler & Shough already here, unless they don't have any other offers. I think he's got starter potential in a year or two, so if I was a team with an established veteran as the clear cut starter like Rams with Stafford, Steelers with Rodgers, Cowboys with Dak, Lions with Goff then I would be looking at claiming him off waivers. To be clear I hope the Saints do also since I believe he's much better than Haener
Xavier Restrepo, WR: I think his ceiling is like a poor man's Lance Moore. He's pretty good route runner with decent hands, but his lack of speed & quickness are what limit him. His key to success in the NFL would be to learn how to find those soft spots in zone coverage because NFL corners have shiftier hips and can recover much faster in man coverage than what he faced in ACC. I'd put claim on him before signing Kevin Austin Jr back to practice squad

I agree 100% with everything you said.
On Swinson, it seems like more of a maturity issue. And while we have edge players, we lack someone who can get to the QB. I think Swinson has that potential which is why I’d like him working with Bo Davis. I know people here like Granderson and Young, but to me they are just guys. We need a pass rusher and since we have a long time horizon, he could be that guy we develop over two or three years.

I’d put in a claim on Swinson. He showed pass rush ability in the sec and we don’t have much on the edge besides our two starters.

Terrace Marshall Jr.
Restrepo could be interesting, but probably more a ps guy to start.

Even Patriots beat guys were perplexed that he was cut.
Two weeks into preseason, we considered Swinson a lock to make the roster. A fifth-round draft pick earlier this year, he showed flashes as a pass rusher in training camp and appeared to be an able rotational player to have at a position where depth is of the utmost importance. Unlike veteran Anfernee Jennings, the arrow appeared to be pointing up for the rookie.

Very likely an attitude issue. You don't just cut a promising rookie pass rusher if there isn't a serious issue.
