Pregnant teen shot in head after road rage incident near Ponchatoula

Deputies said the shooting happened around 9 a.m. Sunday on North Hoover Road near Ponchatoula. Investigators believe West and another vehicle — a Ford Expedition carrying the 17-year-old victim and two others — were tailgating and brake-checking each other before West fired a shot into the SUV.
The teen, who was seven months pregnant, was struck in the head while sitting in the front passenger seat. The driver rushed her to a hospital, where doctors performed an emergency C-section.
The baby is stable in a neonatal intensive care unit, authorities said.
The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

I try not to let road ragers get to me for the simple reason that you never know who’s a loose canon. Someone starts acting stupid on the road next to me I just let them do and distance my self from them.

Not exactly sure why they haven’t officially announced it. But on local Facebook pages they are saying she passed and there are some go fund me accounts set up. Totally senseless act. You never know when you wake in the morning if you are going to encounter some psycho that day.

Same. I used to brake check people all the time. It was silly and certainly not worth it. Thankfully I never was shot at by some crazy person

Totally senseless. The baby should be fine, except she will never know her mother because this guy felt disrespected. .
