Do you need stickers on every piece of produce you buy?

I don't. Peeling them off every apple I eat it is worthless time waste.
My compost dirt is full of plastic stickers that I neglected to pull off the banana peels.
I'm guessing some sort of lawsuit bullshite is why they feel its necessary to go through the trouble.

I feel blessed if the produce I buy isn't already rotten in the store.

Every piece needs a sticker because Shaniqua at the register needs to be able to scan it instead of having to know that that's a durian or a jackfruit or a rambutan or a passionfruit you just brought up there.
At least they're easy to peel off.

sometimes they aren't though. And then you still have a sticker on your finger to walk over to the trash and stick it to something to get it off.

I guess the alternative is eating the sticker

I refuse to buy fruit with stickers on them. Stickers are a big OCD trigger, can’t stand them.

I'm old enough to remember a cashier asking me to name my produce so she could look it up on the code sheet. I'm over there like, girl, that's asparagus. Not exactly exotic.
But really, the advent of organic produce kind of makes it necessary to identify what you're buying if it's not bundled.

Getting those things of ripe pears is a PITA

Yep. The struggle is real.

My wife leaves the stickers stuck to the sink and I don't know why but it pisses me off.

If you want to do the self checkout, how would the register calculate the correct price without the sticker?
If you want to use Sam's Club new scan and go feature, how would the correct item get priced?

surely LaQuitashanasha knows what a banana is

Did you know, 93% of people don't eat the brown part of a banana. But have no problem putting someone else's genitals in their mouth.

Stop feeding your family poison. Instead buy your fruit from the local farmers market

In Rayville, when you have to identify your jalapeños for the cashier to look up, it's inevitable that they go to the H's to begin their search. Every time.

Are you living in Thailand? Your list of fruits are some of my favorites from the three years I spent living there. My wife loves Durian, me not so much...

Or you have to scan it at all the self checkouts.

Sticker OP is referring to isn't a barcode.

How many apples are you eating a day and how many milliseconds are you spending a week peeling labels off apples?
