Do you think he will ever leave if we give him a raise? Is he the type of coach that just wants to be a assistant for the rest of his career.
I hope we keep him and Coach Chief They are the backbone of the program.

Does he have any HC experience? If not, he'd have to start at a lower class of team, taking a big salary cut I assume.

Wes Johnson had essentially no prior HC experience before landing the Georgia job.

With as long as he’s been doing this and as good as he’s been at it I’d be hard pressed to believe he hasn’t had the opportunity if he wanted it

Wouldn’t be impossible but probably unlikely. He’s 50 or 51 already. Wes Johnson did but it’s still pretty rare. And with his track record at his position you’d think he’s already had the opportunity to take that step but hasn’t.

JMHO but I think he would like to stay a pitching coach because he could have gone HC somewhere by now. I would be more afraid of him getting pinched by MLB. I doubt he wants to slug it out in the minors so I believe it would take a major league job to snag him.

He's likely making more now than he would be as HC at a smaller scale program.

I’m just happy the whole staff is back for 26

Jordan will get a head coach job at some point, he could have had duke job

No idea if yeskie wants to be a head coach or not, with his career track to date I assume he’s fine being a pitching coach. With some of the staffs he had at Oregon st he could have made the jump at that point

You're happy? So you're not gonna give up on the team after a midweek loss this year?

He’s the Coach Starkey of Tiger Baseball. Be the best assistant and he’s good with that.

Jason Kelly didn't either when Washington got him.

Being a HC is a whole different breed. You have to deal with boosters, the press, etc. some guys just want to coach.

I feel like Yeskie might be that way.

I've asked this question to a few different folks. And no one can give a clear cut answer. My take is he would take the right head Coaching job but he is not someone who is just looking to be a Head Coach. He enjoys what he does and at some point he will get a good Head Coaching offer and will likely take it but hes not just going to take any head coaching gig. Thats my take from the circled answers and non answers when asking that exact question.
