Is that why businesses are flocking to California?

I mean….he’s not wrong on the recession part. But let’s consider in 2020 governments worldwide shut down economies. So not exactly the fault of that Republican President.

He's trying to do the Donald Trump thing as a Democrat. It won't work.

Besides ...

There was no recession under Trump 1.

There wasn't as much of one under W as most people think.

Now, HW, there was a big one.

Always ask ...

Do you want America run like California? Even Democrats who are not from California would honestly say no.

So he's already down to....I'm not THAT party...last refuge of a scoundrel argument?

He knows he has nothing to sell to the American people, especially himself.

California bears sad witness to what Dem government brings. Clear as day and the reason honest people are fleeing his state.

Spending starts in the House. Anyone with even an ounce of knowledge of the federal government knows this.

Of those three Presidents, all three had Democrat-run Houses for their last two years, which is when the recessions started (or just after).

2000 recession: due to dot com bubble burst. Would have been a recession under gore too

2008 recession: due to housing crisis. Would have happened under kerry too

2020 recession: worldwide pandemic

Why are you spamming the board with Newsom stuff?

It was that specific Republican President that caused them to shut down economies worldwide as a pretext for instituting mass mail-in voting in the effort to oust him.

Of course not. Why would he? He’s being a politician.

I personally do better under recessions. It feels like my dollar goes further.

Almost as if GDP is some sort of lagging indicator.

And the one under George HW bush was extraordinarily mild, and it ended before he left office. Also, the one under George W Bush was the fault of the sub prime loan bubble, which was primarily perpetrated by Democrats.
