Now how about throwing our the conviction.

That's all they care about anyway. Being able to say we got him. He's been convicted.

That one was even more egregious and fraudulent than this civil fine one. And, they all know it. That case was strictly brought for the purpose of election interference. Now, everyone in that case (ESPECIALLY the judge) should be brought up on criminal charges of election interference.

E Jean Carroll's ridiculous judgment will be thrown out by SCOTUS. If she wants money she better start selling it on the street. However, I doubt if there will be any takers.

Fat Tish is about to get hers. She is in deep doo doo.

But that gross looking judge needs to pay. He's already had to live life being so ugly, but he needs to pay up for fricking with GEOTUS.

Not only the fine was unconstitutional but the very premise that underpinned the prosecution's arguments was bullshite.

As expected

From a better article

quote:

Thursday’s decision, which was not unanimous, leaves Trump still liable for fraud. The judges aligned to uphold his liability and toss the penalty so the case could move forward for further appellate review.

In the prevailing opinion, the judges wrote, “While the injunctive relief ordered by the court is well crafted to curb defendants’ business culture, the court’s disgorgement order, which directs that defendants pay nearly half a billion dollars to the State of New York, is an excessive fine that violates the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

I didn't read the ruling, but it's not clear if this is just to open things up for Trump (to remove the bond/weight of the fine) while they evaluate the underlying findings, or if they're now going to assess what fines they feel are appropriate themselves (instead of remanding it back to the trial court)
