Licensing for commercial vehicles should be a federal function similar to how the FAA is involved in the airline industry. We would never cede authority to the states to regulate the air industry. That would be a disaster. CA and other woke and sanctuary states cannot be trusted to do what is right and this affects every other state.

So he got his license in California from a California-based company & drove his 18 wheeler cross country all the way to Florida. How many near deaths did he almost cause, not speaking or reading English to where he could not pass required tests ?

They need to audit every California trucking (maybe every) company now for resident status of their drivers/employees

allow the injured to sue the owners of the products carried on these trucks for making bad choices. Its been done like that for many years in bulk Chemical delivery.
