I’m having fun reading teacher complaints on Reddit

My tiny pride flag, the only LGBTQ+ item in my room didn’t even make it to the first day of school before someone complained. The principal told me to take it down, despite being the GSA advisor and having a flag like this on my desk for the last ten years.
At the end of last year, all of the Safe Space stickers I worked so hard to get teachers around the school to adopt came down and now this. It’s enough to make me want to quit before the year even has started. ??

The privilege that drips from the support comments.....all shallow tactics that show you they have been and are at war with the normal culture. They don't see themselves as teachers but indoctrinators of the new state, so it's a weird type of new nationalism. To me this makes them fascist more than commies, which they love to talk the talk of. Most of these 20 something woke girls are going to find that they can't create a utopia on earth and burn out by the time they are 30.

Why do these fricking weirdos feel like they need to make everyone aware of their sexual preference at all times no matter the place? School, churches, public sidewalks and streets, national parks, etc.
If it’s so damn “normal” like they claim, wouldn’t all of that nonsense be unnecessary? You don’t see straight people painting streets and decorating classrooms to show how awesomely straight they are, straight people just live their lives without even discussing their sexual preference.

Tim Walz started a GSA at the highschool he was teaching at in the 90s, so they are nothing "new" and Tim claims to be a heterosexual.

What they wanted was special treatment. Rules against expressing political opinions don’t apply to those with the correct (Democrat) opinions. Well, they took advantage of our politeness for a few years, but enough of that BS. Follow the rules like everyone else.
