This is the playbook for lazy management that gets tunnel vision on one region because former experience and contacts in the area.
Not surprised at all given Dumars and Weaver track record. That F offseason record gets worse daily.

I’ve never seen a franchise just mail it in so blatantly. They aren’t even pretending to try anymore.
I knew Dumars was gonna be bad but not this bad. I’m legitimately not sure if he’s made a single decision himself considering every single move we’ve made this offseason has Weaver’s fingerprints all over it

I'm gonna zag here
Many were convinced that Griff was a good hire and would lead us somewhere. He ended up being a piano playing fig that no one respected.
We might be terrible this season, but once we get Zion's sorry arse out of here, I think we might be pleasantly surprised in 3 years or so.
Vs Griffin being in year 6 and being an absolute Trainwreck.
Point is, herd is usually wrong. Dumars and Weaver are both so stupid that it might just work.
Griff was too smart for his own good. No one liked him and he was a pussy at pulling the trigger on things that needed to be done at the expense of the "family" he was trying to build. Dude drafted T Spoons Nephew instead of Tyrese Maxey.
After 6 years of that bullshite, I'm willing to let the DMV dude cook.
