St George doing work - Homeless Edition

So I work in downtown BR and there is this homeless dude I see all the time when I take my walks. I give him a dollar or two if I have it. He's cool. He was complaining to me yesterday about the City of St. George running the homeless people off Siegen Lane. He said the police is rounding all the homeless folks on Siegen and bringing them to St. George Church where they are staging them. They are taking their picture and making them an offer to leave. Now these are his words. Take it for what it's worth. Here is the offer:
1. A Caniac from Raising Canes
2. $25 cash
3. A bus ticket to anywhere in the US
4. Cab / Uber fare once you're there
5. If you accept, they will give you a ride to the bus station.
He said a bunch of his "podnuhs" have taken the deal. He's from here so he isn't going anywhere. He was down because Siegen is where he makes all of his money and he needed to make more bad. "If I don't make any money tomorrow, I don't know what I'm gonna do". His words.

He could get a real job as hanging out (read: doing and/or selling drugs) with his "podnuhs" isn't one.

Agreed. Giving a bum money should come with a steep penalty, like you have to let them come live with you.

Yup,
First - most of the homeless in BR were shipped here from NY and NJ in the early 2000s. Still more come from other places like Chicago, Baltimore Philly. I doubt your buddy is from here.
I believe Liz Murrell has law suits in action about it as previous AG were weak d!cks.
Second - please stop giving the drug addict grifters money. They buy booze and drugs with them -99% of the time.
Do work at a shelter if you want to help them - at least you will be doing something of value to the ones who want to get off the street.
