LPSO, “Predator” catcher Chris Hansen join forces again – 15 arrested in Operation Waterfront
LIVINGSTON — For the second time this year, Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has teamed up with TV journalist Chris Hansen to take suspected online predators off the streets.

The latest effort, dubbed “Operation Waterfront”, ran through June and July 2025 and led to 15 arrests. Earlier this year, a similar partnership netted 11 arrests in just three days.

The team worked with Hansen’s crime-focused streaming series Takedown with Chris Hansen, along with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Covington Police Department.

The latest investigation targeted individuals suspected of using social media to exploit children. Sheriff Ard said the operation resulted in 15 arrests on charges ranging from indecent behavior with juveniles to computer-aided solicitation of minors. One suspect also faces an attempted exposure to AIDS virus charge.
