Anime. If Pokemon is anime, none of that crap either.
It might be mainstream now but the weird kids were all into that crap when I was in high school. The Japanese should be admired for their cars and stereos. They can keep their artwork.
I find a-lot of that anime crap has elements of witchcraft embedded but thats the super boomer in me.
I am almost 40.

I’m 41 with a 5 yr old boy.
He went through a phase with Pokémon.
He outgrew it, as will your child. Relax.
We have done a great job limiting screen time, but he’s now in kindergarten. It’s getting tougher. He has a switch, and his favorite person, his aunt, is a gamer.

Reminds me of the (very brief) pearl clutching about the Harry Potter books 20-25 years ago.
My answer is daycare.
No way am I letting Finn the genderfluid purple haired liberal arts major and Shaniqua brainwash my kid for several hours a day. I understand the importance of socialization and conflict resolution and all that, but there are other better and cheaper ways to accomplish this goal. God bless any parents who are not fortunate enough to have another childcare arrangement and are stuck with the daycare option.

Remember the Pokémon Go app 10 years ago and all the idiots who chased invisible whatever they’re called to catch them all? I think people found dead bodies and the phase caused an increase in auto accidents.
