Man, a Rambo series featuring missions in Vietnam would be lit.

I'd say trying to replicate a Stalone character is just too difficult as he is so iconic it will just seem like a guy trying to play stalone playing a character, but honestly he would barely have to say any words at all, so as long as he can pull off the physical look it might work

I would hate to follow up being a prime Stallone

He's a good actor and is Italian, I think. I think he can pull it off but he is going to have to get SHREDDED

I kind of like the idea of a Rambo origin story, but that lad ain’t gritty enough. I’d want someone a bit rougher around the edges.

I like it. We would also get to see a young Colonel Trautman, and how they first met.

I don't know. If they start it out with Rambo as a young enthusiastic soldier who quickly learns about the true horrors of war and has to either die or mold into the grizzly survival savage that he eventually becomes at the expense of his sanity.

Lots of potential there and the casting may be on target.

I think I just wrote a movie.

quote:

Colonel Samuel Richard "Sam" Trautman is the secondary character in the franchise. He was born on July 6, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from Hilldale High School in his hometown and receiving a B.A. in Sociology from University of Texas in 1950, Trautman joined the United States Army through the ROTC. It is also possible that he enlisted during World War II. After serving in the Korean War, Trautman joined the fledgling Special Forces and was promoted to captain. At the start of the Vietnam War, Trautman began his first combat tour as an adviser to the ARVN. Following his return to the United States, Trautman was selected to form a special forces unit along the lines of S.O.G. It was here that Trautman first met John Rambo, who at that time was a young man who had left both his home and an abusive father. Over the months in training, Trautman became a substitute father for the young Rambo, especially as Rambo was the youngest of the group. When Trautman completed the group's Special Forces training, they were sent on the first of two tours of Vietnam. Trautman's team received the code name of Baker Team
Also
quote:

The known members of Baker Team were John Rambo, Delmore Barry, Joseph "Joey" Danforth, Manuel "Loco" Ortega, Paul Messner, Delbert Krackheur, Giuseppe "Greasy Kunt" Colletta, and Ralph Jorghenson.
I had to misspell Giuseppe's name so the filter wouldn't catch it.

The guy actually looks the part, will need to get jacked though.

I always pictured Tom Hardy in a Rambo origin, but he's prob too old now.

Nobody will ever accept anyone except Stallone as Rambo.

It's not like a Bond or Batman you can recast.
